Create a network volume

  1. In the Control panel, from the top menu, click Products and select Dedicated Servers.

  2. Go to the Network Volumes and Storage section → the Network Volumes tab.

  3. Click Create network volume.

  4. Select the disk location — availability zone. The network volume must be in the same availability zone as the server it will be connected to.

  5. Select the disk type:

    • Basic HDD – for storing large amounts of data that do not require frequent read or write operations;
    • Fast SSD – for operations that require high read and write speeds.

    Disks differ in read/write speeds and bandwidth values. More details in the network volume limits table.

  6. Specify the disk size in GB or TB. After creating a network volume, you can only increase its size. It will not be possible to decrease the size of a network volume.

  7. Enter a new disk name or keep the default name.

  8. Optional: enter a comment.

  9. Click Create volume.
