Change private network port domain name

If a private network is added to a DNS zone, you can change the port's domain name. The A or AAAA record in the zone will update automatically.

You can check if a network has been added to a DNS zone in the control panel: in the top menu, click Products → Cloud Servers → Private DNS → the DNS Resolvers tab → in the network row, identify the value in the DNS zone **** field.

Control panel

1. In the control panel, from the top menu, click Products and select Cloud Servers.

2. Go to the Network section → Private networks **** tab.

3. Open the subnet card → the Ports **** tab.

4. In the port row next to the domain name, click .

5. Enter a new domain name.

6. Click Save.

OpenStack CLI

1. Open the OpenStack CLI.

2. View the list of ports in the subnet and copy the ID or name of the required port:

   openstack port list subnet=<subnet>

   Specify <subnet> — the subnet ID or name; you can view it using the openstack subnet list`` command.

3. Change the port's domain name:

   openstack port set --dns-name <subdomain> <port>

   Specify:

   • <subdomain> — the new port domain name, maximum 63 characters — digits, Latin letters, and hyphens; ;
   • <port> — the port ID or name you copied in step 2.
