Delete the security group

Before deleting a group, you must disconnect it from all ports to which it is assigned.

Control Panel

1. Make sure to disable the security group from all ports. You can view the list of ports with the group in the Control Panel: from the top menu, click Products → Cloud Servers → Security Groups → Security Group page → Ports tab.

2. In the Dashboard, on the top menu, click Products and select Cloud Servers.

3. Go to the Security Groups section.

4. From themenu of the security group, select Delete.

5. Click Delete.

OpenStack CLI

1. Open the OpenStack CLI.

2. Remove the group separately from each port to which it is assigned:

   openstack port unset \
       --security-group <security-group> \
       <port>

   Specify:

   • <security_group> — The ID or name of the security group can be viewed with the command openstack security group list;
   • <port> — Port ID with group, can be copied in control panel: in the top menu, click Products → Cloud Servers → Security Groups → Security Group page → tab Ports → in the field UUID click.

3. Remove the security group:

   openstack security group delete <security_group>

   Specify <security_group> — security group ID, can be viewed using the openstack security group list command.
