Change Redis user password

One user is automatically created for each cluster.

The user password is required to connect to Redis. The password is set when the cluster is created and can be changed after the cluster is created.

1. In the Control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select Cloud Databases.

2. Open the Active tab.

3. Open the cluster page → Settings tab.

4. In the User Password block, click Edit.

5. Enter a new password or click Generate. The password must contain:

   • 32 to 64 characters;
   • Latin letters of different cases;
   • figures;
   • special characters.

6. Copy and save the user's password — it cannot be viewed in the control panel once saved.

7. Click Save.

8. Change the password in your application.
