Product Description Dedicated Servers

A dedicated server is a physical server of a preconfigured or custom configuration whose resources are entirely dedicated to you. Servers are located in server rooms in Servercore data centers.

To work with the product, the Servercore product access control model is supported: user types, roles, projects.

How it works

You can order a server:

When ordering a server from the control panel, you can choose a server:

ready-made configuration – they are assembled, tested, and installed in racks in advance. The server will be ready for work in two minutes after ordering (excluding the OS installation time);
custom configuration – the server is built to order from components that you select in the configurator. When ordering, you can choose any configuration for your tasks. Server preparation takes from one to five business days.

When ordering a server via Terraform, you can only order servers of a ready-made configuration.

How to work with a dedicated server

After the server is handed over, you can manage it:

For remote server management, connect to the dedicated server.

You can track metrics for dedicated servers using the Metrics service.

Records of operations with dedicated servers are saved in audit logs.

Servercore provides

uninterrupted power supply to equipment, climate control;
service maintenance;
connection to a private network and the internet.

Servercore is not responsible

for the configuration and maintenance of server software;
creation and storage of backups.

Pricing

The dedicated server is paid according to the selected tariff plan and traffic consumption model. The tariff plan determines the duration of the paid period and the payment amount, while the traffic consumption model determines the traffic limits included in the tariff plan. What is included in the price

The price of a dedicated server includes:

server resources;
internet connection with a speed- or traffic-based accounting scheme;
public IPv4 address;
connection to a private network (except for some servers of the Chipcore line);
KVM console for remote server management. For Chipcore Line servers, the KVM console is available when ordering the additional service Hardware IP KVM connection for 3 hours;
system for automatic OS installation and booting the server into recovery mode;
DDoS protection at the L3—L4 level;
replacement of failed components and entire servers;
24/7 technical support.

Limits and restrictions

Access to BIOS settings is not provided. Servers are commissioned with optimal settings and maximum performance. Any interference may lead to instability and accelerated wear, and will disable automatic OS installation and disk clearing.

When ordering a dedicated server, limits are automatically applied on network equipment. These limits apply to both private ports and internet ports. For more information, see the Network limits on dedicated server port instructions.

By default, any dedicated server is assigned a limit of 25 MAC addresses per switch port.

For a dedicated server, there are broadcast traffic limits (broadcast, unknown-unicast, and multicast) of 10 MB/sec per port for each individual traffic type.
