Manage dedicated server access
Access to dedicated servers is governed by a role model that defines access within an account and a project; see the Access Control in Servercore Products guide for details. Role capabilities for all products can be viewed in the role reference.
member
A user with full access to all Servercore products. Does not have management access to: users, service users, user groups, and federations.
billing
User with access to billing management and without access to service management.
iam.admin
A user with access to user management and no access to services or billing. Cannot manage their own account: change permissions, manage notifications, or delete the user. The first user with the iam.admin role is created by the Account Owner.
iam.viewer
A user with access to view everything that iam.admin manages.
reader
User with access to view everything that member manages in the same access area.
dedicated.admin
User with access to dedicated server management.
The dedicated.admin role also provides access to managing:
- colocation;
- firewalls;
- basic firewall;
- storage system;
- network volumes for dedicated servers;
- leased network hardware.
dedicated.viewer
User with access to view everything that dedicated.admin manages in the same access area.
