Reorder a dedicated server

If you already have a server of a prebuilt or custom configuration, you can order the same server again.You can reorder a server if you are the Account Owner or a user with the role of member.

Prebuilt configuration server

1. In the Control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select Dedicated Servers.

2. Select a project.

3. In the Servers section, open the server page → in the menu, select Reorder server.

4. On the Checkout tab, verify the dedicated server configuration.

5. Check the region and pool where your server will be hosted.If necessary, change the region and pool.You cannot change the region and pool after placing the order.

6. Select an operating system for automatic installation on the server.To select:

   • a standard OS image, open the OS tab.If you need a server without an OS, select No OS - boot on the OS tab—after the server is provisioned, you can install the OS manually or by autoinstallation.

   • OS image with applications — open the Applications **** tab.

7. Optional: select a system disk on which the OS will be installed.If you selected a Linux-based OS in step 4, you can partition disks and configure software RAID.

8. Optional: for secure connection to the server via an encrypted SSH protocol, select a previously uploaded and placed SSH key or add a new one.Learn more in the instructions Create and place an SSH key on a dedicated server.

9. Optional: if you have a Linux-based OS, the User data field will be available. To automate server configuration, specify server configuration parameters in cloud-config or bash script format. For more details, see the User data examples subsection.

10. Select a traffic consumption model.

11. Select a pricing plan.

12. Specify the number of servers you need. If the required quantity is unavailable, click Notify about availability and create a ticket.

13. Optional: configure IP addresses.If you selected an OS for autoinstallation in step 6, the network interface on the server will be configured automatically with the set IP addresses.

    13.1. Configure the public network; to do so, select a VLAN:

    • shared — the server will be assigned a public IP address from a shared VLAN.You will not be able to change the IP address or add additional IP addresses to the server;

    • dedicated — if you have already ordered a dedicated subnet, you can select the subnet and assign an IP address to the server.

    13.2. Configure a private network. An IP address from a private subnet can be assigned to a local port of a prebuilt server with one 1 Gbit/s network card, if a private VLAN is already allocated in the pool and a Linux-based OS is selected for autoinstallation.

    To assign a private IP address, select Assign IP address from a private subnet:

    • if you have not yet added a private subnet to the Control panel, click Create private subnet, enter the CIDR from the standard range, click Create, and enter an IP address;

    • if you have already added a private subnet to the Control panel, select the subnet and enter an IP address.

14. Optional: on the Additional services tab, view the list of additional services. You can order additional services after the server has been provisioned.

15. Confirm that you agree to the payment terms.

16. Click Pay now.

17. Review the order information and click Pay. When the server is ready, you will receive an email notification and will be able to connect to it. The billing period starts from the moment the server is provisioned. The server password will be available for viewing for 24 hours from the time of provisioning. If you forget your password, you can reset and recover it. After ordering, you can only perform an upgrade of components — disks, memory, GPU.

Custom configuration server

1. In the Control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select Dedicated Servers.

2. Select a project.

3. In the Servers section, open the server page → in the menu, select Reorder server.

4. If the server configuration is available for ordering, proceed to step 5. If an identical server configuration is not available in any region, you can build a new server in the configurator — for more details, see the instructions Order a custom configuration dedicated server.

5. On the Checkout tab, verify the dedicated server configuration.

6. Check the region and pool where your server will be located. If necessary, change the region and pool. Once the order is placed, you cannot change the region and pool.

7. Optional: if the server configuration includes a hardware RAID controller and you will be using a Linux-based OS, configure a RAID array.
   Drives of the same size added to the RAID controller are automatically combined into a single RAID array.

   To configure a RAID array:

   7.1.Click Add RAID array or change the drive composition in an existing array.

   7.2.Select the drives you want to add to the RAID array.

   7.3. Select the RAID level. Note the specifics of configuring software RAID in the control panel:

   • a RAID 1 array can only include two drives;
   • automatic OS installation is only available for Linux-based OSs and for RAID 1 and RAID 0 arrays.

8. Select an operating system for automatic installation on the server. To select:

   • a standard OS image, open the OS tab. If you need a server without an OS, on the OS tab, select No OS - boot — after the server is provisioned, you can install an OS manually or via OS auto-installation.

   • OS image with applications — open the Applications **** tab.

9. Optional: select a system disk on which the OS will be installed. If you selected a Linux-based OS in step 8, you can partition the disks and set up software RAID.

10. Optional: for secure connection to the server via the encrypted SSH protocol, select a previously uploaded and placed SSH key or add a new one. For details, see the instructions Create and place an SSH key on a dedicated server.

11. Optional: if you have a Linux-based OS and no HBA or RAID controllers are added to the server configuration, the User data field will be available. To automate server configuration, specify the server parameters in cloud-config format or as a bash script. For details, see the User data examples subsection.

12. Select a traffic consumption model.

13. Select a pricing plan.

14. Specify the number of servers you need.

15. Optional: if you selected an OS for automatic installation in step 8, configure the IP address; to do so, select a VLAN:

    • shared — the server will be assigned a public IP address from the shared VLAN.
      It will not be possible to change the IP address or add supplementary IP addresses to the server;

    • dedicated — if you have already ordered a dedicated subnet, you can select the subnet and assign an IP address to the server.

16. Optional: enter a comment for the order. For example, specify equipment connection specifics or the required order of disk installation. The disk installation order affects how they are identified in the system. By default, disks are installed in the following order: NVMe → SSD → HDD. If you do not designate a system disk in the partition scheme, the OS will be installed on the disk that is detected first in the system.

17. Optional: on the Additional services tab, see the list of additional services. You can order additional services after the server has been provisioned.

18. Confirm that you agree to the payment terms.

19. Click Pay now.

20. Review the order information and click Pay. Depending on the selected components, preparing the server for operation may take from one to five business days. When the server is ready, you will receive an email notification and will be able to connect to it. The billing period starts from the moment the server is provisioned. The server password will be available for viewing for 24 hours from the time of provisioning. If you forget your password, you can reset and recover it.
