Connect Direct Connect — physical port

  1. Select a telecom operator in a Servercore data center.

  2. Coordinate with the operator the possibility of connecting to their equipment within the Servercore infrastructure.

  3. Clarify the following with the operator:

    • equipment coordinates in the Servercore data center;
    • optionally: if you plan to use the service to connect to internet from the operator — the address of the public subnet that will be added to the VLAN on the operator's side.
  4. In the control panel, at the top menu, click Products and select Direct Connect.

  5. Click Order services.

  6. Select a region and pool where the operator's equipment is located.

  7. VLAN ID — leave this field empty.

  8. Select the connection bandwidth — 1 or 10 Gbps. The bandwidth determines the type of equipment used to establish connectivity.

  9. Optional: if connection redundancy is required, select the MC-LAG redundant connection checkbox.

  10. Enter the telecom operator's name.

  11. Optionally: enter any additional information about the connection. For example, the required cross-connect type (copper or fiber), connector type, and operator coordinates for connection — server room and rack number.

  12. Click Order. We will create and send a ticket to confirm the details for further establishing the connection.

  13. Once the connection is approved, a port will be allocated on the Servercore switch for connecting the cross-connect from the selected operator. The VLAN with this port will appear in the control panel: at the top menu, click ProductsDedicated ServersNetwork → the VLAN tab. We will provide the number of this VLAN in the service order ticket.
