Manage record operation

You can manage the operation of a resource record: deactivate the record and activate it.

Deactivate a resource record

  1. In the Control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select DNS Hosting.
  2. Open the zone page.
  3. In the resource record group menu, select Edit.
  4. In the resource record value row, deactivate the record.
  5. Click Save. On the resource record group page, the deactivated record line will show the status DISABLED.
  6. Wait for the changes to propagate to all DNS servers. Propagation can take up to 24 hours.

Activate a resource record

  1. In the Control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select DNS Hosting.
  2. Open the zone page.
  3. In the resource record group menu, select Edit.
  4. In the resource record value row, activate the record.
  5. Click Save. On the resource record group page, the activated record line will show the status ENABLED.
  6. Wait for the changes to propagate to all DNS servers. Propagation can take up to 24 hours.
