Manage PTR records

A PTR record, or reverse resource record, allows you to assign a name (domain) to an IP address. For example, mail servers check the PTR record of the sender's IP address.

The control panel displays:

Add a PTR record

  1. In the control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select IP Addresses.
  2. In the IP addresses menu, select Add PTR.
  3. Enter the domain name (e.g., example.com).
  4. Click Save.

Edit a PTR record

  1. In the control panel, click Products in the top menu and select IP addresses.
  2. In the IP addresses menu, select Edit PTR.
  3. Enter a new domain name (e.g., example.com).
  4. Click Save.

Delete a PTR record

  1. In the control panel, click Products in the top menu and select IP addresses.
  2. In the IP addresses menu, select Delete PTR.
  3. Click Delete.
