Change Log Retention Period

You can change the log retention period via the Control Panel. Once the period expires, the logs are deleted. The default log retention period is 30 days.

  1. In the control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select Logs.

  2. Go to the Logs section.

  3. In the menu for the log group, select Change Log Retention Period.

  4. Select the number of days the group logs will be stored. Please note that the retention period is always calculated from the date the logs were created. If the new retention period is shorter than the number of days the logs have already been stored in the service, the logs will be deleted within a day.

  5. Optional: if you need to change the retention period for logs in multiple groups:

    5.1. Select the Apply to other groups checkbox.

    5.2. Select the groups for which you want to change the log retention period.

  6. Enter the log group name.

  7. Click Save.
