Set the maintenance start time in a Managed Kubernetes cluster
Every day at the selected time, the cluster enters MAINTENANCE mode. During this period, the cluster may undergo automatic maintenance operations and system certificate auto-renewal. Cluster scaling is unavailable during maintenance.
Master node maintenance takes up to two hours. Maintenance for one worker node takes approximately 30 minutes. The total maintenance duration depends on the number of nodes in the cluster. During this time, the cluster operates in normal mode and remains available over the network. The application running in the cluster will work without changes, interruptions, or delays.
When creating a cluster in the Control panel, the time is set by default to 4:00 AM in your time zone. You can change the maintenance start time for an already running cluster.
- In the Control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select Managed Kubernetes.
- Open the cluster page → Settings tab.
- In the Automation block, select a new maintenance start time.
