General information about DNS hosting service
With the DNS hosting service, you can delegate the management of domain resource records to the Servercore authoritative NS servers.
The service supports user types and roles и projects.
Steps to disable DNS hosting (legacy)
DNS hosting (legacy) will cease operations in 2025:
- March 1 — the creation of new domains will be disabled;
- June 1 — editing of existing records and domains will be disabled;
- Sept. 1 — the API and section in the dashboard will go offline;
- December 31 — authoritative NS servers will stop working.
Transfer domains to DNS hosting now to avoid disruption of sites when DNS hosting (legacy) is down.
Authoritative servers
The service runs four authoritative NS servers: a.ns.srv.cr
, b.ns.srv.cr
, c.ns.srv.cr
, d.ns.srv.cr
.
Servers are protected by a firewall against DDoS attacks. Requests to authoritative servers are balanced within each data center and between data centers, so DNS hosting will process requests as long as at least one authoritative server is running.
Cost
The service is provided free of charge in addition to other paid products or services. To access the service, complete the registration и top up for a minimum amount.
Limitations
Servercore DNS cannot be used as Secondary DNS.
DNS hosting does not limit the number of zones that can be added to the hosting, nor the number of resource records in the zone.
