Modify a resource record

You can speed up the propagation of record changes to DNS servers. To do this, a few days before the planned change, reduce the TTL of the record to the lowest possible value. Then change the record at the scheduled time, and when the change propagates to the DNS servers, return the TTL to the previous value.

  1. In the control panel, in the top menu, click Products and select DNS hosting.
  2. In the Domain Zones section, open the zone page.
  3. From the menu of the resource record group, select Edit. SOA and NS record groups are not editable - they are automatically created with the zone and cannot be changed or deleted.
  4. Change the desired parameters - TTL group or record value.
  5. If you want to add a resource record to the group - click Add and enter the value of the record.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Wait for the group's resource records to update on the DNS servers. The update can take up to 72 hours from the TTL of the group. You can view the TTL of the resource record group in the control panel: from the top menu, click ProductsDNS hostingDomain zones → Zone page.
  8. Optional: check resource records. If resource records have not been updated after 72 hours, create a ticket.
