Modify a resource record
You can speed up the propagation of record changes to DNS servers. To do this, a few days before the planned change, reduce the TTL of the record to the lowest possible value. Then change the record at the scheduled time, and when the change propagates to the DNS servers, return the TTL to the previous value.
-
in control panels from the top menu, press Products and select DNS hosting.
-
Open the zone page.
-
On the menu of resource record groups, select Edit. Some entries cannot be changed or deleted:
- SOA and NS record for the domain — created automatically when the zone is added;
- web icon records instead of a menu means that the record group is being used web resource.
-
Change the desired settings. The type of resource records in the group and the group name cannot be changed.
-
If you want to add a resource record to a group, click Add and enter the value of the record.
-
Click Save.
-
Wait for the group's resource records to update on the DNS servers. The update can take up to 72 hours from the TTL of the group. You can view the TTL of the resource record group in control panels: from the top menu, press Products → DNS hosting → Domain zones → zone page.
-
Optional: check resource records. If after 72 hours the resource records have not been updated, file a ticket.
