Create a network drive

Create a network drive

The functionality is limited during beta testing. By default, you can create up to three network disks. If you need more, create a ticket.

  1. In the Control Panel, on the top menu, click Products and select Dedicated Servers.

  2. Go to Network Disks and StorageNetwork Disks tab.

  3. Click Create Network Disk.

  4. Select Disk Location — Availability Zone. The network disk must be located in the same availability zone as the server to which it will be connected. During beta testing, the network disk can only be connected to a server in the MSK-1 pool and with a 2 × 10 GE NIC + 10 Gbps Network Disk SAN connection.

  5. Select the type of disk:

    • Basic HDD — for storing large amounts of data that does not need to be read or rewritten frequently;
    • Fast SSD — for operations that require high read and write speeds.

    The disks differ in read/write speeds and bandwidth values. See the Network Disk Limits table for details.

  6. Specify the disk size in GB or TB. After creating a network disk, you can only increase the size of the network disk. You cannot decrease the size of the network disk.

  7. Enter a new disk name or leave the default name.

  8. Optional: enter a comment. The maximum length of a comment is 256 characters.

  9. Click Create Disk.
