Move the object
carefully
If you paste an object from the clipboard, it replaces the object in the bucket without warning.
For your information
If there is an Bucket Policy:
- in the bucket from which you want to move the object - it must allow reading and deleting the object;
- in the bucket where you want to move the object - it must allow adding the object to the bucket.
For more information, see the Actions subsection of the General Information about Access Policies instruction .
You can move an object to another baket or to another folder in the current baket.
If Object Lock is used in a bucket and the object to be moved is locked, the object will be copied to the new bucket, but will not be deleted from the original bucket. Moving objects in bucket with Object Lock is disabled in the control panel, but is available through the Object Storage API.
- In the control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select S3.
- Go to the Buckets section.
- Open the baket page → Objects tab.
- Mark the object.
- Click Move.
- Open the page of the desired baket or the destination folder in the current baket where you want to move the object.
- Click Paste to current folder.
