Manage the operation of the recording

You can control the operation of a resource record: deactivate the record and activate it.

Deactivate a resource record

  1. In the control panel, in the top menu, click Products and select DNS hosting.
  2. Open the zone page.
  3. From the menu of the resource record group, select Edit.
  4. In the value line of the resource record, deactivate the record.
  5. Click Save. On the Resource Record Group page, the deactivated record will have a DISABLED status in the row.
  6. Wait for the changes to propagate to all DNS servers. Propagation can take up to 24 hours.

Activate a resource record

  1. In the control panel, in the top menu, click Products and select DNS hosting.
  2. Open the zone page.
  3. From the menu of the resource record group, select Edit.
  4. In the value line of the resource record, activate the record.
  5. Click Save. On the page with the resource record group, the deactivated record will have an ENABLED status in the row.
  6. Wait for the changes to propagate to all DNS servers. Propagation can take up to 24 hours.
